Gebhard Woods State Park/I&M Canal Trail

On March 18, 2012, we took a day hike at Gebhard Woods State Park. Because the park is so small we also hiked a portion of the Illinois and Michigan Canal Trail. The temperature climbed up to 85*F and spring had arrived! I actually got sunburned!! On March 18?!? Crazy, man, craaaazy! I was able to get my pack weight down to 23 pounds. The reduction is mainly due to two things. First, I replaced a Hennessy Hammock 70D PU hex tarp with a Hammock Gear cuben fiber tarp. Second, I removed the extra fuel and fuel bottle from my pack.
